How to Find More Influencers Like the Creators You Already Like

You have already found a group of creators who fit your campaign. Now you need more—but another keyword search brings back profiles that look relevant on paper and miss the details you care about.

Start with the creators you already like. Their profiles can help explain what a good match looks like. Then use your requirements and feedback to guide the next round of discovery.

Why finding more relevant creators is difficult

A broad topic is a useful starting point, but it rarely captures the whole brief. Two creators might both discuss AI: one tests products in practical tutorials, while another mainly reports industry news. If your campaign needs hands-on reviews, a topic match alone is not enough.

Your existing shortlist can reveal a more useful pattern—but only if you know why each person belongs on it. A creator may be a strong example because of their content, audience or past campaign performance. Those are different signals and should be considered separately.

EasyKOL combines a creator inventory of tens of millions of profiles with platform-based discovery. We batch-update creators in popular fields weekly, informed by what users search for, and carry out a full inventory update monthly. Individual profile freshness can still vary, and available fields depend on the platform and source.

For an assisted search, the working approach is to look across existing inventory using relevant keywords, tags and semantic descriptions, then supplement gaps with platform searches where available. Candidates are merged by account identity so a creator found through multiple routes is not counted several times. Existing profiles and evidence are reused where suitable; missing or outdated information may need a separate check.

Instead of asking you to review an entire large pool at once, the team can review an initial batch with you to calibrate what fits. Your feedback can clarify content direction, exclusions or other requirements before the next round. The team then works through the available candidates and delivers results in batches for review. The actual scope, timing and degree of automation depend on the trial; coverage is not guaranteed, and unavailable information remains unconfirmed.

1. Choose examples and explain what you like

Start with a few creator profile links. For each one, write a short note: what do they make, which content is relevant, and why are they a good fit? If you have several types of creators on your list, group them rather than assuming one description fits everyone.

For example, an AI software team might say:

These creators test AI tools on camera and show practical use cases for small businesses. We want more of that—not channels that mainly summarize AI news.

This is an illustrative brief, not a completed customer search. A list of names alone does not prove why someone is a good fit or whether a previous collaboration succeeded.

2. Set your requirements and exclusions

Write down the platform, target market, content language and any meaningful follower or view requirements. Separate must-haves from preferences: if follower count is flexible, say so. Tell the search team which accounts are already in your project so they are not presented as new candidates.

A creator's location or language does not prove where their audience lives. If audience location is essential, ask for supporting evidence and leave it unconfirmed when that evidence is unavailable.

3. Review a first batch and refine the direction

Look at profiles and relevant posts, then explain what fits and what does not. Specific feedback is more useful than a score alone:

These two creators show the tools in use, which is what we want. The others mention AI but mainly cover news. Please focus the next search on practical product demonstrations.

EasyKOL is developing an assisted search workflow around this process: discuss your examples and requirements with the team, review candidates, and clarify the next search based on what you learn. Contact us to confirm how the trial works; the current self-service search should not be assumed to automatically learn from every piece of feedback.

4. Check the evidence before outreach

For each new candidate, keep the profile link, relevant work, available market evidence, recent performance and notes on fit. A keyword in a bio is a lead—not proof of sustained expertise or a good commercial match. Mark missing information as unknown.

If you check YouTube views manually, one consistent comparison is the arithmetic average of the latest 10 published videos. Keep real zeros; don't replace missing view counts with zero. If fewer than 10 videos are available, record the sample size. Check the definition of any product metric before assuming it uses this method.

A brand mention alone does not prove a paid partnership. If competitor relationships matter, review each work and its disclosures, and ask the creator when necessary. Missing evidence does not prove a creator has never worked with a competitor.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start with creators I already know?

Yes. Share a few profile links and explain why they fit your campaign. The team can discuss the assisted trial and how to use those examples to guide the search.

Does a similar creator have the same audience?

Not necessarily. Similarity can refer to content, audience or other characteristics. Check audience evidence separately when it is a campaign requirement.

Can EasyKOL guarantee a specific number of suitable creators?

No. The number depends on your requirements, available data and the outcome of your review. Discuss the trial scope and terms with the team.
